Traffic Calming for Cross Timbers mee...
Description
CROSS TIMBERS NEIGHBORHOOD INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAFFIC CALMING MEETING
Monday October 28, 2019 6:30-8:00 PM
Traffic Calming meeting Cross Timbers
Cross Timbers Free Will Baptist Church, 201 Cross Timbers Dr, Nashville, TN 37221
Public Works and Council Member Gloria Hausser, District 22 will hold a Traffic Calming meeting with the Cross Timbers neighborhood on Monday Oct. 28 at the Cross timbers Free Will Baptist Church, 201 Cross Timbers. Cross Timbers application was approved with 7 other neighborhoods out of 91 applications for traffic calming. The meeting will share traffic data, discuss issues and develop a preliminary plan.
After the presentation neighbors will write on the area map where they see issues and what measures they think could work. After the meeting Public Works will put together a preliminary design based on the feedback and we’ll make adjustments until we’re happy with it. If we land on any vertical deflections (speed humps/cushions) we’ll ask that the neighborhoods gather signatures from 70% of residences showing support. They’re great for slowing down traffic, but some neighborhoods aren’t fans.
Please plan on attending and lending your ideas how to make this neighborhood safer for pedestrians, bikes and cars.
