The Bellevue Community Food Bank began in 1991 and has expanded over 19 years. We currently serve recipients from 5 local zip codes, and provide supplemental groceries to those in need. On Tuesday nights, we usually have 30-40 recipients accepting bags of groceries, donated fresh produce and meat. We process over 1500 items a months to ensure our neighbors are fed. The Food Banks exists solely on donations by our Bellevue Community.

Bellevue Food Bank (year round) This community-based ministry is housed in our facility but is supported by many churches and businesses within the Bellevue area. Each Tuesday, (6-7:30 p.m.) persons needing food come to the food bank to receive bags of groceries. The food bank provides support to over 400 persons on a monthly basis. The food bank serves recipients in the following zip codes: 37205, 37209, 37221, 37062,and 37143. If you need further information or would like to donate to the Bellevue Community Food Bank, call the church office at 646-4146 or (615) 212-9199. Food Bank Donations are accepted Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Appointments are preferred for large donation deliveries so we can have help and carts ready to go.
Some tips:
Here’s a basic list of suggested donations: Cereal, Peanut butter (and jelly) but not combined in one jar, Macaroni and cheese, Canned meats (chicken, Spam, Vienna sausages, tuna), Canned Beef Stew, Chicken and Dumplings, etc., Canned pasta and sauce/meat, Pasta sauces and dried pasta, Canned Soups, Canned beans (pinto, great northern, black-eyed peas, black beans, baked beans, etc), Dried beans (1 pound bags), Canned vegetables (sweet potatoes, pumpkin, greens, green beans, carrot, beets, potatoes, corn, mushrooms, etc.), Potato “flakes” (instant mashed potatoes), rice, and “Stove Top” stuffing, pasta/noodle based side dishes, Baking products (mixes for rolls, instant breads that need minimal extra ingredients to cook, cornbread mixes, pancake mixes, etc), Sugar, Cooking oil, Evaporated milk, Pancake Syrup, Jello gelatin and puddings (snack cups), Crackers, Select beverages: Juice, Koolaid, Tea, coffee, juice boxes (for school lunches)
