Community Meeting Regarding The Brooke Meade Homeless Encampment (near Lowes and Walmart) PURPOSE: To be transparent and share information on status, what has been done, what will be done, the plan to improve with timeline, and what we can do. This meeting is to open the door and shine a light on this situation with a focus on solutions. Homeless camps are not unique to Nashville, Tennessee or even the US. This is big and complex, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work towards solutions for neighbors, the community and the unhoused. Presentations from Metro departments, the Homeless Impact Division, non-profits providing services, encampment representative. After the presentations the community will have an opportunity to ask questions. The non-profits will have information you how you can volunteer. If you have specific questions or concerns to be addressed please email me by Wednesday afternoon gloria.hausser@nashville.gov
