David Briley is the eighth mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. He was sworn in as Mayor on March 6, 2018 and elected as Mayor on May 24, 2018. Mayor Briley had served as Vice Mayor since September, 2015. Mayor Briley is a native Nashvillian and the grandson of Beverly Briley, the first mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
