DESCRIPTION:NASHVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 37 SOLAR INSTALLATION Station 37 is tracking LEED Gold certification and will be the first fire station that is LEED certified under updated LEED requirements for LEED v4. The facility has high efficiency flush and low flow plumbing fixtures with an expected potable water use reduction of 43%. HEAT RECOVERY Station 37's HVAC system features a heat recovery wheel that captures and transfers heat from previously conditioned air to save energy and costs on conditioning fresh\, outdoor air. Fire Station #37 has the largest solar installation of all Metro Nashville Fire Stations with a 50kW solar panel system with 144 panels which will feed directly to the facility with an estimated offset of more than 16.3% of the annual energy cost A look into the sustainability features of the new facility AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF Gas supply to kitchen stove and outdoor grill automatically shuts off when Station 37 receives an emergency response call. EXHAUST SYSTEM The station is the first in Nashville to incorporate vehicle exhaust system in the apparatus bay\, utilizing clean air filter technology to keep the environment safe for crews. This technology uses high efficiency filtration to remove the harmful diesel particulates and toxic gases produced by vehicles. CHARGING STATION A dual-port Electric vehicle charging station is free to use for the facility occupants and general public. It is located in the parking area. LANDSCAPING The landscaping includes native\, drought tolerant plants\, to reduce water demand for irrigation.\n\n\n\nThe new Fire Station replaces former fire station located on the lower level of the Bellevue Library.
